NBM used this symbol because it is embodied with strength to go past the mud and water and elegantly emerge from the depth. This is a capability that can be done in life - there will always be tough, murky times, but everything works out for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. The Lotus will remind us to have faith and persevere, as hardships do not last forever. Enlightenment awaits, remain patient and resilient, subtle, and strong.
